From 4e784517f6ab9c7c0a7e3fe924b7e8af609059d5 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Kyren223 Date: Sat, 21 Jun 2025 00:05:41 +0300 Subject: Replaced whatsie with WasIstLos (formely whatsapp-for-linux) bcz whatsie has some memory leak and seems to be broken. Also note there is some nvidia/wayland issue when running WasIstLos, so I added a GTK env var to the desktop entry and it fixes it. I got it from these issue (for future reference): https://github.com/tauri-apps/tauri/issues/10702 --- hosts/home.nix | 8 ++++---- 1 file changed, 4 insertions(+), 4 deletions(-) (limited to 'hosts') diff --git a/hosts/home.nix b/hosts/home.nix index a9ce356..6217930 100644 --- a/hosts/home.nix +++ b/hosts/home.nix @@ -28,13 +28,13 @@ xdg.desktopEntries = { "com.ktechpit.whatsie" = { name = "WhatsApp"; - genericName = "Watsie, unofficial WhatsApp client"; - exec = "whatsie %U"; + genericName = "Unofficial WhatsApp client"; + exec = "WEBKIT_DISABLE_DMABUF_RENDERER=1 wasistlos %U"; terminal = false; - icon = "com.github.eneshecan.WhatsAppForLinux"; + icon = "whatsapp"; categories = [ "Application" "Network" "WebBrowser" ]; settings = { - Keywords = "chat;im;messaging;messenger;sms;whatsapp;whatsapp-desktop;whatsie;"; + Keywords = "chat;im;messaging;messenger;sms;whatsapp;whatsapp-desktop;whatsie;wasistlos;"; }; }; }; -- cgit v1.3.1
