The PR branch had merge conflicts with `devel` due to a major compiler
refactoring that extracted type definitions from `compiler/ast.nim` into
a new `compiler/astdef.nim` file.
## Changes
- Resolved conflict in `compiler/ast.nim` by accepting `devel`'s
refactored structure
- Merged 763 commits from `devel` branch (commit range:
`ce6a345..b3273e7`)
- Preserved original PR changes removing deprecated symbols from
`lib/core/macros.nim`
The core PR functionality (removal of deprecated macros API since
v0.18.1) remains intact while incorporating the upstream AST
refactoring.

The `jsNoInt64`, `whenHasBigInt64`, `whenJsNoBigInt64` templates are
replaced with bool constants to use with `when`. Weird that I didn't do
this in the first place.
The `whenJsNoBigInt64` template was also slightly misleading. The first
branch was compiled for both no bigint64 on JS as well as on C/C++. It
seems only `trandom` depended on this by mistake.
The workaround for #6752 added in #6978 to `times` is also removed with
`--jsbigint64:on`, but #24233 was also encountered with this, so this PR
depends on #24234.
split again from #24038, fixes
https://github.com/status-im/nimbus-eth2/pull/6554#issuecomment-2354977102
`var`/pointer types are no longer implicitly convertible to each other
if their element types either:
* require an int conversion or another conversion operation as long as
it's not to `openarray`,
* are subtypes with pointer indirection,
Previously any conversion below a subrange match would match if the
element type wasn't a pointer type, then it would error later in
`analyseIfAddressTaken`.
Different from #24038 in that the preview define that made subrange
matches also fail to match is removed for a simpler diff so that it can
be backported.
fixes#24104, refs #23955
The line `result.typ = dstTyp` added in #23955 changes the type of
`result`, which was the type of `n` due to the argument passed to
`newIntNodeT`, to the abstract type skipped `dstTyp`. The line is
removed to just keep the type as abstract.
makes new hash the default, with an opt-out (& js-no-big-int) define.
Also update changelog (& fix one typo).
Only really expect the chronos hash-order sensitive test to fail until
they merge that PR and tag a new release.
