Jacek Sieka ad430c0daa once C++, always C++ [backport] (#19938)
* once C++, always C++

When using `{.compile: "file.cc".}` in a nim module, even when compiling
with `nim c` the C++ compiler should be used - once any C++ file has
been compiled, the C++ linker also needs to be used.

Nim Compiler

  • This directory contains the Nim compiler written in Nim.
  • Note that this code has been translated from a bootstrapping version written in Pascal.
  • So the code is not a poster child of good Nim code.

See Internals of the Nim Compiler for more information.
