b54c60b76a rexcode: the x86 test suite could fail and the build said PASS
Found by accident, and worse than the bug that found it. Five deliberately
broken decode cases came back green through `build.lua --test --isa x86`, while
running the same suite directly reported "253/258 PASSED, 5 FAILED".

Two independent holes, both open, so neither backstopped the other:

  - the x86 test binary ended at `print_summary()` and never called `os.exit`,
    so it exited 0 no matter how many cases failed;
  - `do_test` looked for the words "N failed" in the output, and the x86
    harness prints "N FAILED" — a lowercase-only Lua pattern, so the largest
    suite in the tree was exempt from its own gate.

The exit code is the check that should have been load-bearing, so the harness
sets it. The output match stays as a backstop for a suite that forgets to, and
is now case-insensitive.

How long this has been true is not knowable from here — every x86 regression
since the pattern was written would have been reported as PASS.

0f5fa3d1d9 rexcode: wire the ir/ packages into build.lua
build.lua was ISA-centric; add an IRS catalog (ir/<name>) and route it through
the gen / check / test tasks. IR packages have a single-stage generator (gen.odin
emits Odin directly), a plain odin check, and a tests/ suite -- no mnemonic
builders or external-assembler verify, so only those three tasks apply. Purely
additive: the ISA catalog, task functions, and verify-tool probing are untouched.

luajit build.lua --check --test now reports spirv alongside the ISAs
(check ok, test 5 passed).

95df04fbe1 rexcode: re-house ISA packages under core:rexcode/isa/<arch>
Move all ten ISA packages (x86, arm32, arm64, mips, riscv, ppc, ppc_vle,
rsp, mos6502, mos65816) from core/rexcode/<arch> to core/rexcode/isa/<arch>,
so the import pattern is now `import "core:rexcode/isa/x86"`. The shared
core stays at core:rexcode/isa.

Mechanical: relative `import "../isa"` / "../../isa" -> absolute
"core:rexcode/isa" (the only path that survives the move; the "../" and
"../.." self/generated imports move with their packages). build.lua now
builds paths as <root>/isa/<name>; stale `cd <arch>` hints in the verify
tools and the doc.odin paths updated.

WASM stays at core/rexcode/wasm for now -- it is an IR, not an ISA, and
will move under the forthcoming core:rexcode/ir once that layer lands.

All 10 arches gen/builders/check/test green; import core:rexcode/isa/x86
verified working; wasm still compiles.

1b72d425d4 rexcode: add typed per-mnemonic builders for all arches; CWD-independent regen
Add generated mnemonic_builders.odin (inst_<mnem>/emit_<mnem> typed overload sets) for arm32, arm64, mips, riscv, ppc, ppc_vle, rsp, mos6502 and mos65816, matching the existing x86 builders. Each is produced by a per-arch tools/gen_mnemonic_builders.odin that walks ENCODE_FORMS and maps operand types to typed params + op_* constructors.

Anchor every generator's output via #directory so regeneration is CWD-independent; previously the bare "mnemonic_builders.odin" path wrote to the current directory and misfired when run from the repo root.

Wire a --builders task into build.lua (folded into 'all', covered by --idempotent, enforced by the structural invariants) and document it in the README.

a4f08f8307 Load rexcode encode/decode tables from committed binary blobs
Each ISA's hand-written ENCODING_TABLE (the single source of truth) now lives
in a per-arch tablegen/ metaprogram that flattens it and serializes committed
binary blobs; the library #loads those into @(rodata) at compile time rather
than compiling a table body. No arch keeps encoding_table.odin or
decoding_tables.odin -- only a generated tables.odin loader and tables/*.bin.

* Two-stage, type-checked pipeline: tablegen Stage A emits human-readable
  generated Odin, which compiles and serializes the blobs in Stage B.
* encode() goes through encoding_forms(m); decoders are unchanged apart from
  x86's flattened 2-D index. Decode tables are byte-identical to the old ones.
* build.lua: a LuaJIT driver for the metaprograms, validations, and tests,
  with cross-platform gating and a clear report.
* Docs refreshed; the obsolete forward-looking plan in cross_arch_design.md
  trimmed to what was actually built.
* Attribution headers added to all rexcode source files; the generators emit
  them so generated files keep them.
