65ef6fdaee build: replace LuaLS with EmmyLua
Problem: LuaLS struggles with the generics used in Nvim's runtime,
requiring broad diagnostic suppressions. Indexing is also slow.

Solution: Use EmmyLua for type checks in the build and CI. It offers
more sophisticated type checking, substantially better support for
generics, and much better flow analysis.

Correct the affected annotations. Use `@internal`, supported directly by
EmmyLua, instead of `@nodoc` for shared internal declarations, and
support it in the help parser.

2f5df7add7 fix(treesitter): #has-parent? errors on a node with no parent
Problem:
The #has-parent? predicate indexes the result of node:parent() without
checking it, so a capture that matches a tree's root node raises

    query.lua:600: attempt to index a nil value

instead of simply not matching. In a highlights query that breaks
highlighting for the whole buffer. The sibling #has-ancestor? predicate
handles the same situation.

Solution:
Treat a missing parent as "does not match".

726d1a92d2 feat(options): lua closure/function options
Problem:
Cannot assign Lua functions/closures to "func" ('completefunc',
'tagfun', …) or "expr" ('foldexpr', 'indentexpr', …) options.

Solution:
- Store "func"/"expr" options as `Callback` instead of string.
- Delete oceans of copy-pasted code.
- BREAKING: LuaRef returned via RPC/Vimscript is now represented as
  `"<Lua N: file:line>"` (like what `:map` shows) instead of `nil`.
- Note: `man.vim` still uses `v:lua` string, bc it's a vimscript ftplugin.

9aa4608401 refactor: introduce nvim_on internally #39883
Problem:
`nvim_create_autocmd` is too verbose and its `callback` requires extra
"nesting".

Solution:
Introduce `nvim_on`. Start using it internally. Then we can get a feel
for how it should look before making it public.

b44c2bdd16 fix(treesitter): remove default match limit (#39696)
Problem: The default match limit of 256 can be too low for realistic
use cases, but was necessary to guard against catastrophic
performance cliffs.

Solution: Performance cliffs were fixed in upstream tree-sitter 0.27+,
so remove the fallback limit to return unlimited matches by default.

7ed5609439 fix(treesitter): get_node_text() inconsistent trailing newline #39409
Problem:
`get_node_text()` returned inconsistent results between buffer and
string sources when a node's range ends at `end_col == 0` (i.e. the node
ends with a newline). The buffer path dropped the trailing newline; the
string path included it correctly.

Solution:
Append `'\n'` in `buf_range_get_text()` when `end_col == 0` and
`start_row ~= end_row`. The `start_row ~= end_row` guard excludes
zero-width nodes at column 0, which should return `""`.

Remove the workaround in the `#trim!` directive that manually
compensated for the missing newline.

Strip whitespace in `resolve_lang()` so injection language nodes ending
at `end_col == 0` (e.g. `">lua\n"`) still resolve correctly.

eeee4bd4fc feat(treesitter/extmark): support removing a conceal highlight #35087
Problem:
Cannot remove a `@conceal` highlight when defined in highlights.scm.

Solution:
Support a `@noconceal` highlight that works similarly to `@nospell` where it
overrides the conceal set on the range to remove it. Additionally, can
set the conceal metadata field to false for the same behavior.

d0822bbd15 fix(treesitter): highlight group for EditQuery captures #36265
fix(treesitter): more distinctive highlight for EditQuery captures

Problem: EditQuery shows captures in the source buffer using the Title
highlight group, which could be too similar to Normal.

Solution: Use a virtual text diagnostic highlight group: they are
displayed in a similar manner to the query captures so we can assume
that the color scheme should have appropriate styling applied to make
them visible.

e5c2ce5905 fix(treesitter): ":EditQuery [lang]" with injected languages #34914
Problem:

1d5b3b5b4c feat(treesitter)!: apply offset! directive to all captures #34383
This commit changes the `offset!` directive so that instead of setting a
`metadata.range` value for the entire pattern, it will set a
`metadata.offset` value. This offset will be applied to the range only
in `vim.treesitter.get_range()`, rather than at directive application
time. This allows the offset to be applied to any and all nodes captured
by the given pattern, and removes the requirement that `#offset!` be
applied to only a single node.

The downside of this change is that plugins which read from
`metadata.range` may be thrown off course, but such plugins should
prefer `vim.treesitter.get_range()` when retrieving ranges anyway.

Note that `#trim!` still sets `metadata.range`, and
`vim.treesitter.get_range()` still reads from `metadata.range`, if it
exists.

* Add documentation for `TSQuery`.

65c7033cbe feat(comment): allow commentstring to be determined from node metadata
**Problem:** Some weird languages have different comment syntax
depending on the location in the code, and we do not have a way to

**Solution:** Allow queries to specify `commentstring` values in
metadata, allowing users/`nvim-treesitter` to provide a better
commenting experience without hugely increasing the scope of the code in
core.

c63e49cce2 fix(treesitter): #trim! range for nodes ending at col 0 #31488
Problem:
char-wise folding for `#trim!` ranges are improperly calculated for nodes that

Solution:

0. Also properly set column positions when performing linewise trims.

6913c5e1d9 feat(treesitter)!: default to correct behavior for quantified captures (#30193)
For context, see https://github.com/neovim/neovim/pull/24738. Before
that PR, Nvim did not correctly handle captures with quantifiers. That
PR made the correct behavior opt-in to minimize breaking changes, with
the intention that the correct behavior would eventually become the
default. Users can still opt-in to the old (incorrect) behavior for now,
but this option will eventually be removed completely.

BREAKING CHANGE: Any plugin which uses `Query:iter_matches()` must
update their call sites to expect an array of nodes in the `match`
table, rather than a single node.

4b02916334 perf(treesitter): use child_containing_descendant() in has-ancestor? (#28512)
Problem: `has-ancestor?` is O(n²) for the depth of the tree since it iterates over each of the node's ancestors (bottom-up), and each ancestor takes O(n) time.
This happens because tree-sitter's nodes don't store their parent nodes, and the tree is searched (top-down) each time a new parent is requested.

Solution: Make use of new `ts_node_child_containing_descendant()` in tree-sitter v0.22.6 (which is now the minimum required version) to rewrite the `has-ancestor?` predicate in C to become O(n).

For a sample file, decreases the time taken by `has-ancestor?` from 360ms to 6ms.
