- Add checks that ObtainPhysicalAudioDevice() was previously doing (is subsystem initialized, is device valid). - Remove optimizations that copy string to stack to release device_hash_lock before SDL_GetPersistentString is called. Probably not necessary, and made the code more complex.
Simple DirectMedia Layer (SDL for short) is a cross-platform library designed to make it easy to write multi-media software, such as games and emulators.
